Join us for this intensive 2-day virtual training on Comprehensive Victim Interviewing (CVI), led by veteran law enforcement investigators and other leading national experts. After opening with an interactive exercise based on a 911 call, presenters will briefly review the scientific research on stress, trauma, and memory, as well as research on what works – and doesn’t – when it comes to effective investigative interviews. This scientific and practical knowledge will then be applied to best practices for:

• Conducting an initial interview and preliminary investigation
• Planning, preparing, and conducting an in-depth victim interview
• Documenting victim statements and other investigative findings
• Following up with additional interviews and an evolving investigation, and
• Supporting best practices through bold and innovative leadership
