This webinar will discuss the unique experiences of female identified adolescents of African descent in Canada, and their experiences with gender-based violence in schools. Specific attention will be given to cultures of violence, how they manifest, and the need to attend to prevention, as opposed to the current focus on punishment, when addressing the intersectional experiences of Black girls.

We offer our Webinars in both official languages: English and French. This Webinar will run in English with simultaneous French and American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation. Ce webinaire portera sur les expériences uniques des adolescentes identifiées comme étant des adolescentes d’ascendance africaine au Canada et sur leur expérience de la violence fondée sur le sexe dans les écoles.
