How Paramedics Can Care For and Support Survivors of Intimate Partner Violence: A Unique Opportunity to Activate an Underutilized Resource

April 30, 2024 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Free

Paramedics often supersede the emergency department as the first point of contact for survivors of intimate partner violence seeking healthcare, support, and resources. However, paramedics in Canada are not well situated to provide survivors with what they need. This webinar will provide an engaging look into the state of the intersection of Canadian paramedicine and intimate partner violence, and explore the
opportunity for paramedics to act as expert resource!

Featuring: Rory A. Marshall, a PhD Candidate at the University of British Columbia Okanagan
