The Canadian Advisory of Women Immigrants (CAWI) is hosting an event to discuss their community project on creating an evidence-based sexual and reproductive health (SRH) curriculum for immigrant women, girls, and gender minority individuals (Funded by Oxfam Canada). The initial project included focus group discussions to gather feedback on the current SRH curricula in Canada and the results identified a need for diverse topics, safe spaces, and diverse educators in SRH education for immigrant communities.

The event aims to provide information about CAWI’s current SRH campaign work and its implications for immigrant communities, highlight the efforts of other community members to create inclusive sexuality education, and discuss ways to support and empower SRH work in immigrant communities.

SASS is a registered non-profit, member-driven organization dedicated to eliminating sexual violence in Saskatchewan through research, public education, and advocacy.
