On Feburary 27th CIAFV is excited to host the Aboriginal Counseling Services of Alberta’s Executive Director, Sue Languedoc.
This workshop will provide insight into Indigenous family violence and working within the family circle.
- Learn about Indigenous family violence and the impact it has on men, women and
- children. Hear from the voices of the men, women and children who have
- experienced family violence and are making changes in their lives.
- Increase knowledge regarding the impact intergenerational trauma has on the brain
- and nervous system.
- Understand and respond to safety and risk issues.
- Learn how to support each other and manage personal triggers when working.
- Acknowledge vicarious trauma and develop tools for self-care.
